Bail was denied to the petitioner.

Summary

Saroj Yadav was arrested in connection with a case involving robbery, assault and the murder of the informant's son, alleged under Sections 309(6) and 103(1) of the Bihar Narcotic Substances Act, 2023 and Sections 25(1‑B)a, 26 and 35 of the Arms Act. The petitioner, in custody since January 2025, applied for bail, arguing that the trial was delayed and only charges had been framed. The prosecution described a violent incident where the accused allegedly shot the informant's son and stole Rs. 2 lakhs. The court examined the seriousness of the offences and the lack of progress in the trial. Considering the gravity of the crimes, the court was not inclined to grant bail and dismissed the application, directing the Superintendent of Police to ensure witness attendance.
