Anticipatory bail was not granted to the petitioner.

Summary

The petitioner, Ankit Kumar, applied for anticipatory bail after being implicated in a case (Sadar P.S. Case No. 780 of 2025) for alleged embezzlement of Rs. 11,53,392.85 while managing a petrol pump, including falsifying delivery records and deleting computer data. The prosecution charged him under Sections 316(2), 318(4), 338, 336(3) and 340(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. The High Court examined the seriousness of the offences and the risk of the petitioner absconding or tampering with evidence. Considering the gravity of the alleged crimes, the Court declined to grant anticipatory bail. The order dismissed the anticipatory bail application, directed the petitioner to surrender within four weeks for regular bail, and warned of arrest if he fails to comply.
