Holding

Bail was denied to the petitioner.

Summary

The petitioner, Anshu Kumar, applied for bail in a criminal case (PS Case No. 11 of 2026) registered under Sections 109(1), 351(3), 3(5), 309(4) of the Bihar Negotiable Instruments Act and Section 27 of the Arms Act. The allegations allege that the petitioner looted Rs. 3.5 lakh and certain documents from the informant, and a cheque‑book, Aadhaar card and PAN card of the informant were recovered from the petitioner’s possession. The court noted that the recovery of the documents from the petitioner and his four prior criminal antecedents indicated a serious charge. Consequently, the court was not inclined to grant bail. The bail application was therefore rejected, with the court emphasizing that its observations were prima facie and limited to the bail application alone.
