Holding

The court held that regular bail could not be granted to the accused in the present murder case.

Summary

Chiku Kumar was charged under Sections 302 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code for the murder of the deceased. He applied for regular bail for the second time, having been denied bail earlier on 16-12-2024. The petitioner has been in custody since 20-04-2024 and the trial is ongoing. The learned judge examined the bail application and considered the seriousness of the offence and the fact that the trial is in progress.
