The court granted regular bail to the petitioner.
Summary
Ashok Kumar, a government school principal, was arrested in connection with a case under Sections 8/15(c), 18, 25 and 29 of the NDPS Act for allegedly possessing 1,652 kg of doda. He contended that he was falsely implicated along with his family members and had been in custody since 2 February 2026. The State opposed his bail application. The court, noting his custodial period, his non‑arrest at the scene and his professional standing, granted regular bail on a bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties, subject to conditions under Section 482(2) of the B.N.S.S. The order was limited to the bail matter and not an assessment of guilt.
