Patna High Court

Rajiv Ranjan Kumar Yadav @ Rajeev Ranjan Kumar @ Rajeev Ranjan Kumar YadavversusThe State of Bihar

Decided
Disposal
DISMISSED

Holding

The Court denied bail to the petitioner, dismissing the application.

Summary

The petitioner, Rajiv Ranjan Kumar Yadav, was charged under Sections 25(1‑b)a, 26 and 35 of the Arms Act for allegedly dealing in firearms, with five pistols recovered from his possession. He applied for regular bail, claiming false implication and noting that he already has a criminal antecedent for which he is on bail, and has been in custody since 26‑11‑2025. The State opposed the bail application. The Court considered the recovery of the pistols as a material factor and was not persuaded by the petitioner's arguments. Consequently, the Court dismissed the bail application. The decision reflects the Court's stance that the seriousness of the arms offences outweighs the petitioner's bail plea.
