Holding

The court denied regular bail to the petitioner.

Summary

Mani Kumar, the husband of a deceased woman, was charged with murder under Sections 103(1) and 238 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and with an offence under Section 27 of the Arms Act. He applied for regular bail before the Patna High Court, having been in custody since 19 December 2025. The court noted that prima facie material indicated his involvement and that the alleged offences were grave and serious. Considering the nature and gravity of the charges, the court was not inclined to grant bail. Consequently, the application for regular bail was dismissed, with the court emphasizing that its observations were only prima facie and not a determination on the merits of the trial.
