BAIL GRANTED

Holding

Bail was granted to the petitioner.

Summary

The petitioner, Vishnu Shankar Tiwari, applied for bail in a case registered under Sections 80 and 3(5) of the BNS, 2023, alleging he was accused of killing his wife. The prosecution alleged murder, while the petitioner’s counsel claimed the deceased had committed suicide and the parties had settled their dispute. The informant corroborated the petitioner's version. Considering the length of custody since 26‑10‑2025 and the material on record, the court allowed the bail application. The petitioner was ordered to be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties of the same amount, without prejudice to the trial’s merits.
