Holding

Regular bail was denied to the petitioner.

Summary

The petitioner, Satyendra Kumar, was arrested in connection with a case registered under Sections 408, 379 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly orchestrating a large‑scale vehicle theft scheme involving the rental and alteration of 150‑200 trucks. He has been in custody since 21 November 2024 and possesses 82 prior criminal convictions. The petitioner applied for regular bail, arguing that he should be released pending trial. The court examined the seriousness of the offences, the extensive criminal antecedents, and the risk to public order. Considering these factors, the court found no sufficient ground to grant bail. Consequently, the application for regular bail was rejected.
