The Court granted bail to the petitioner on condition of a Rs. 10,000 bond with two sureties.

Summary

Chiraya Singh applied for bail in a case registered as PS No.194 of 2025, alleging offences under multiple sections of the B.N.S. and Section 27 of the Arms Act, including unlawful assembly, extortion, and assault with deadly weapons. The prosecution alleged that Singh, along with others, formed an armed mob that demanded a ransom of Rs. 10 lakh and assaulted Md. Danish Ahmed by strangling him with a gamcha. Singh contended that he was falsely implicated, that the allegations were vague, and that he had been in judicial custody since 29 November 2025. The informant and the State opposed bail, citing recovered empty cartridges and the seriousness of the charges. After hearing both sides, the Court, noting the petitioner’s right to liberty and the lack of concrete evidence tying him directly to the violent acts, ordered that Singh be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs. 10,000 with two sureties.
