Holding

The Court granted regular bail to the petitioner subject to bond and conditions.

Summary

The petitioner, Vimal Yadav, was arrested in connection with FIR No. 72 of 2025 alleging that he and others opened fire at an informant’s house, injuring the informant’s daughter, to coerce the informant to withdraw a prior case. He was charged under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 352, 351, 351(2), 109(1) and 3(5) of the Indian Penal Code and has been in custody since 5 April 2025. The petitioner pleaded innocence, claiming the allegations are general and the injuries were simple, and sought regular bail. The State opposed the bail application, arguing the seriousness of the offences. The Court, after considering the facts and the petitioner’s custody duration, ordered his release on bail with a bond of Rs.10,000 and two sureties, subject to cooperation with the trial and non‑tampering with evidence.
