Patna High Court

Jitendra KumarversusThe State of Bihar

Decided

DISMISSED

Holding

Bail was denied because the trial was at its fag end, and the court was not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail at that stage.

Summary

The petitioner, Jitendra Kumar, filed a bail application after his earlier bail petition was rejected on 12 May 2025. The trial court reported that all charge‑sheet witnesses had been examined, the accused's statement recorded on 4 December 2025, and the case was awaiting defence evidence, indicating the trial was at its final stage. The petitioner argued for bail despite the advanced stage of the trial. The High Court, after hearing counsel, noted that the trial was nearing completion and was not inclined to grant bail at that point. Consequently, the court rejected the bail petition but allowed the petitioner to renew the application after two months if the trial remained unresolved.

regarding the present stage of trial. The learned trial Court has
