The court granted regular bail to the petitioner on the condition of a Rs.10,000 bail bond with two sureties.
Summary
The petitioner, Trinetram Kumar, was arrested in connection with a case registered under sections 25(1‑B)(a), 26 and 35 of the Arms Act and section 27 of the NDPS Act after a raid recovered a loaded pistol, a live cartridge and four small packets of ganja. The petitioner contended that he was falsely implicated and that no incriminating article was found on his person, having been in custody since 24 June 2025 with a chargesheet already filed. The court examined the allegations in the FIR, the length of custody (six months), and the fact that a chargesheet was filed. Considering these factors, the court ordered that the petitioner be released on regular bail upon furnishing a bail bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties of the same amount, subject to the satisfaction of the Special Judge. The order effectively granted bail to the petitioner.
