Holding
The court granted regular bail to the petitioner.
Summary
Uma Shankar Singh was arrested in connection with a police raid that recovered two pistols, live and empty cartridges from the roof of his house, leading to charges under sections 25(1‑B)(a), 26 and 35 of the Arms Act. The petitioner contended that he was falsely implicated, that no incriminating articles were found in his possession, and that he had no prior criminal record, having been in custody since 8 October 2025. The State opposed his application for regular bail. The court, after noting the allegations in the FIR, the submission of the charge‑sheet, the petitioner’s clean antecedent and the length of his custody, ordered that he be released on regular bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs 10,000 with two sureties. The order was pronounced by Justice Partha Sarthy of the Patna High Court.
