The High Court restored Criminal Revision No.667 of 2022, subject to payment of Rs.1,000 cost, after being satisfied with the petitioner's explanation for the earlier non‑compliance.

Summary

Shyam Kumar Ram filed an application before the Patna High Court seeking restoration of Criminal Revision No.667 of 2022, which had been dismissed on 05.01.2026 for failure to comply with a peremptory order dated 17.11.2025. The petitioner explained the omission and submitted reasons for the non‑compliance. The Court, after hearing counsel, was satisfied with the explanation and ordered that the revision be restored to its original file and number. Restoration was made conditional upon the petitioner depositing a cost of Rs.1,000 with the High Court Legal Services Committee within two weeks. The application was thereafter disposed.
