The Court grants anticipatory bail to the petitioner, subject to specified conditions.
Summary
The petitioner, Ranjit Chaudhari, sought anticipatory bail fearing arrest in a 2016 complaint (No. 812) alleging offences under IPC section 498A and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The parties had earlier resolved their dispute through mediation, signing an agreement on 20‑11‑2025 and deciding to separate. The petitioner, represented by counsel, jointly with the informant, applied for anticipatory bail. The Court, after considering the mediation settlement and the circumstances, granted anticipatory bail with a bond of Rs.10,000 and two sureties, imposing conditions such as appearance before the trial court, non‑tampering with witnesses, and refraining from further offences. The order directs that bail be released upon arrest or surrender within four weeks, subject to compliance with the stipulated conditions.
