The court held that regular bail could not be granted to the petitioner.

Summary

The petitioner, Md. Heeru, was arrested in connection with a robbery case (Section 392 IPC) and an offence under Section 25(1‑B)(a) of the Arms Act. The prosecution alleged that unknown criminals committed loot and that the petitioner’s name surfaced during investigation; he is also implicated in 33 other cases and was shown in CCTV footage. He has been in custody since 10 September 2024. The petitioner applied for regular bail, arguing his right to liberty.
