Holding

The Court denied anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Summary

Raja Kumar sought anticipatory bail after the police registered a case (PS No. 197 of 2025) alleging his involvement in the supply of 3 kg of ganja, recovered from Vikas Kumar who identified the petitioner as the supplier. The offenses alleged were under Sections 20(b)(ii)(B) and 25 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The High Court examined the prosecution's material and the seriousness of the alleged drug offence. Finding the allegations sufficient, the Court declined to grant anticipatory bail, directing the petitioner to surrender within two weeks and apply for regular bail, failing which the police may arrest him. The order is limited to the present application and does not prejudice any later proceedings.
