The court modified the order to correct the appellants’ address and granted them an additional four weeks to surrender.

Summary

Petitioners Zakir Dewan and Mahboob Dewan filed an application seeking modification of the order dated 11‑11‑2025 in Criminal Appeal (SJ) No. 2826 of 2024. They requested that their residential address be corrected to "village‑Chandanbara, P.S‑Dhaka, District‑East Champaran" and that the period allowed for surrender and furnishing bail bonds be extended by four weeks. The court examined whether such corrections and extensions could be granted under procedural law. It held that the court has the authority to amend the earlier order to rectify the address and to grant additional time for surrender. Accordingly, the order was modified to reflect the corrected address and to provide the appellants four more weeks to surrender. The modification application was allowed.
