The provisional bail granted to the petitioner on 22.11.2024 is confirmed.

Summary

The petitioner, Binod Kumar Mahto, filed an application to confirm the provisional bail granted to him on 22 November 2024 in a criminal miscellaneous case arising from PS Case No. 105 of 2018. The petitioner’s counsel asserted that the entire amount of Rs. 4.5 lakh alleged to be involved in the case had been paid to the informant in installments, a position supported by the informant’s counsel. The court, after hearing both sides, found no reason to revoke the bail and therefore confirmed the provisional bail order. The petitioner was directed to remain on the same bail bonds and continue to be subject to trial. Consequently, the application for confirmation of bail was allowed.
