Anticipatory bail is denied as the petitioner is found to have actively participated in the killing.
Summary
Petitioner Parvati Devi sought anticipatory bail after being implicated in a murder case (PS Makhdumpur Cnr No. 222 of 2025) alleging she poisoned her daughter-in-law over dowry demands. The prosecution charged her under Sections 80 and 3(5) of the BNS, 2023. Her counsel argued innocence and claimed the allegations were general and omnibus. The Court examined the material and concluded that the petitioner had actively participated in the killing. Consequently, the Court refused anticipatory bail, dismissed the application, and ordered her to surrender within four weeks for regular bail.
