Decided
Disposal
BAIL GRANTED

Holding

Bail was granted to the petitioner under the relevant provisions.

Summary

The petitioner, Ramishwar Ray, was arrested in connection with a murder case (Vaishali P.S. Case No. 275 of 2025) and has been in custody since June 5, 2025. He applied for bail under Section 80 and Section 3(5) of the BNS, claiming that he is the father‑in‑law of the deceased and that the allegations against him are general and omnibus. The prosecution alleged that the petitioner and others were involved in killing the deceased. The court, after hearing counsel for both sides, found no substantive reason to deny bail and considered the petitioner’s familial relationship and lack of specific evidence. Consequently, the court ordered his release on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs. 10,000 with two sureties of equal amount.
