Holding
The Court granted regular bail to the petitioner.
Summary
Chandan Panjiyara was arrested in connection with a dowry‑related poisoning case under Sections 85, 123 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. He has been in judicial custody since 22 November 2025 and claims a clean record and responsibility for two minor children. The State opposed his regular bail application, arguing the seriousness of the alleged offence. The Court considered the custody period, the petitioner’s background, and the presence of minor children, and decided to grant regular bail. He was ordered to be released on a bail bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties of the same amount, with the observation that the order is prima facie and does not prejudice the trial.
