Decided
Disposal
BAIL GRANTED

Holding

The provisional bail granted to the petitioner is confirmed.

Summary

The petitioner, Bablu Kumar, was accused in a criminal miscellaneous case arising from a victim's statement recorded under Section 183 of the BNSS. The victim initially acknowledged knowing the petitioner and being in regular contact for nine months, but later alleged that the petitioner asked her to board his car and he took her away. The petitioner’s counsel argued that the victim’s earlier admission should outweigh the later allegation. The court examined the victim’s statement and the surrounding circumstances. Considering the facts, the court confirmed the provisional bail that had been granted to the petitioner on 3 December 2025 by a coordinate bench of the same court.
