The provisional bail granted to the petitioner on 5 January 2026 is confirmed.

Summary

The petitioner, Rupa Kumari, was alleged to have contacted the victim together with a co‑accused, Ranjeet Sahani, who had earlier been granted bail by a coordinate bench of the Patna High Court. The petitioner had been granted provisional bail on 5 January 2026. She moved the court seeking confirmation of that bail, arguing that the co‑accused’s bail should support her release. The court considered the bail order for the co‑accused and found no impediment to confirming the petitioner’s provisional bail. Consequently, the court confirmed the provisional bail and disposed of the application.
