Summary

Krishna Paswan was arrested on 15 June 2025 in connection with a case alleging that he raped a six‑year‑old girl, the daughter of an informant, under Section 65 of the Bihar Narcotic Substances Act, 2023 and Sections 4 and 6 of the POCSO Act. The prosecution presented the victim’s statement recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code and a medical report supporting the allegation. The petitioner’s counsel argued that the petitioner has a clean record and that the FIR is false and fabricated. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor opposed bail, emphasizing the seriousness of the offence and the corroborative evidence. The court, after considering the nature of the allegation and the supporting medical and testimonial evidence, refused the bail application.
