The condition to deposit the passport was unnecessary and was ordered to be removed.

Summary

Dr. Pooja Singh was granted bail in Cr. Misc. No. 68339 of 2018 with a condition to deposit her passport with the trial court. She filed a petition under Cr. Misc. No. 8390 of 2025 seeking modification of that condition, arguing that the police final report after thorough verification found no material linking her to the alleged offence. The petitioner contended that the passport condition was no longer necessary. The court examined the submission and found that, in the absence of any incriminating material, the condition was unnecessary and restrictive. Consequently, the court allowed the modification petition and directed the trial court to release the passport. The original bail order dated 14.12.2018 was modified only to the extent of removing the passport condition.
