Summary
The petitioner, Mohammad Raja Quraishi, filed an application seeking modification of the order dated 14‑11‑2025 in Criminal Appeal (SJ) No.851 of 2025, specifically to extend the period allowed for his surrender. The High Court considered the petitioner's request and the State's opposition. The Court held that the surrender period could be extended by three weeks from the date the order is received or produced, provided the petitioner deposits Rs.1,500 in the account of the concerned District Legal Services Authority. Accordingly, the order dated 14‑11‑2025 was modified to reflect this extension. The modification application was thereafter disposed of.
