Holding

The court denied the bail application.

Summary

The petitioner, Jagga (also known as Manoj, Gobind Kumar, Govind Kumar), was charged under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly inflicting multiple knife wounds on a victim. He applied for regular bail, claiming innocence, a clean antecedent, and having been in custody since September 1, 2025. The State opposed the bail, arguing the seriousness of the offence. The court, after hearing both sides, declined to grant bail, stating the petitioner was not entitled to it at this stage. However, the court permitted the petitioner to file a fresh bail application after he has remained in custody for six months.
