BAIL GRANTED

Holding

The petitioner is entitled to regular bail.

Summary

The petitioner, Rohit Paswan, applied for regular bail in a case involving alleged robbery of Rs. 2,04,000 from a Bank of India branch and alleged collusion in offences under Section 394 of the IPC and Section 27 of the Arms Act. The prosecution’s case rests mainly on the confessional statement of a co‑accused, with no material recovered from the petitioner and no tip‑off report. The petitioner has been in custody since 2 July 2024. The court noted the lack of substantive evidence against him and the absence of a TIP, and therefore considered bail appropriate. It ordered the release of the petitioner on a bail bond of Rs. 10,000 with two sureties of the same amount, subject to conditions of cooperation and availability for trial. The bail order was directed to be recorded before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Saran.
