The petition for regular bail was denied.

Summary

Rahul Kumar was arrested in connection with the murder of Raju Kumar, alleged to have been shot by him on 24‑25 July 2025. The FIR, filed by Birbal Singh, also charges him under Sections 103, 61(2) and 111 of the BNS and Section 27 of the Arms Act. The petitioner applied for regular bail, arguing that he had been in custody since 26 July 2025. The Court examined the seriousness of the offences, the material evidence and the gravity of the alleged crime, and concluded that the circumstances did not warrant bail. Consequently, the bail application was rejected, and the trial court was directed to complete the trial within one year of receiving the order.
