Decided
Disposal
BAIL GRANTED

Holding

The application for regular bail was allowed.

Summary

The petitioner, Anil Kumar Das, was arrested in connection with Jandaha P.S. Case No. 200/2025 for alleged kidnapping and offences under Sections 137, 96 and 3(5) of the B.N.S. He applied for regular bail, claiming innocence, a clean antecedent, and presenting a medical report indicating a consensual relationship with the alleged victim. The prosecution opposed the bail, arguing the seriousness of the kidnapping charge. The court examined the facts, the petitioner’s willingness to cooperate, and his lack of prior criminal record. Considering these circumstances, the court allowed the bail application. The petitioner was ordered to be released on bail upon furnishing a Rs. 10,000 bond with two sureties of equal amount.
