Summary
The petitioner, Chandan Kumar, sought anticipatory bail fearing arrest in a case registered under Sections 109 and 3(5) of the Bihar Narcotic Substances Act, 2023 and Section 27 of the Arms Act. The FIR alleges that he, along with three others, entered the informant's house and fired indiscriminately at her, though she was not hit. The petitioner has four prior criminal convictions. The court examined the seriousness of the alleged offences and the petitioner’s criminal antecedents. Considering these factors, the court rejected the petition for anticipatory bail. Consequently, the petitioner remains liable to be arrested under the pending charges.
