Decided
Disposal
BAIL REJECTED

Holding

Anticipatory bail was denied to the petitioner.

Summary

The petitioner, Dablu Yadav, applied for anticipatory bail after being implicated in a FIR alleging his participation in a violent raid on the Mahadev Enclave office, during which staff were assaulted, cash of Rs.5,38,000 was looted, and property including JCB machines and electric boards was damaged. The FIR charges him under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, including offences of rioting, robbery, assault, and criminal intimidation. The petitioner has three prior criminal antecedents. The learned counsel for the State opposed the bail, emphasizing the seriousness of the offences and the petitioner’s criminal history. After hearing both sides, the Court found that the nature of the accusations and the antecedents warranted denial of anticipatory bail and consequently rejected the petition.
