The court upheld its earlier order and denied bail, finding no fresh ground for reconsideration.
Summary
Petitioner Rahul Kumar was charged with possession of 51.9 kg of ganja found in a vehicle he was driving. He applied for bail, which had previously been denied by the Patna High Court on 09 September 2024. The petitioner sought reconsideration of the bail order, arguing fresh grounds. The court noted that the trial was progressing satisfactorily with four of five witnesses already examined and found no new material to warrant revisiting its earlier decision. Consequently, the court upheld its earlier order and rejected the bail application.
