Patna High Court

Vinay Kumar SinghversusThe State of Bihar

Decided
Disposal
DISMISSED

Holding

Bail was denied to the petitioner.

Summary

The petitioner, Vinay Kumar Singh, was arrested in connection with a case registered under Section 309(4) of the B.N.S. for alleged theft of a motorcycle. He claimed he was falsely implicated and highlighted his thirteen prior criminal records, while also stating he had been in custody since June 21, 2025. The prosecution opposed bail, asserting that the petitioner had made a self‑inculpatory statement accepting guilt. The court considered the seriousness of the allegations, the petitioner’s extensive criminal antecedents, and the admission of guilt, and concluded that bail could not be granted. Consequently, the bail application was dismissed.
