Decided

DISMISSED

Holding

Anticipatory bail was not granted to the petitioner.

Summary

Petitioner Rajiv Kumar sought anticipatory bail fearing arrest in a case (PS No. 486 of 2025) alleging assault on two persons under several sections of the B.N.S. The prosecution alleged that the petitioner assaulted the victims, causing injuries that required hospital treatment. The petitioner claimed innocence, stating he was falsely implicated, though he has one prior criminal record. The State opposed the bail application. Justice Sandeep Kumar, after considering the allegations, declined to grant anticipatory bail, finding the seriousness of the accusations warranted detention. Consequently, the anticipatory bail application was dismissed.
