The court held that the petitioner is entitled to bail.

Summary

The petitioner, Ankit Kumar, sought bail in a case registered as Buddha Colony P.S. Case No. 383 of 2025, where he was accused of kidnapping the minor daughter of an informant under Section 96 of the B.N.S. The prosecution alleged the kidnapping, while the petitioner’s counsel argued that the victim had been recovered, gave a statement that she had voluntarily gone to Nepal with the petitioner and a co‑accused, and had even solemnised a marriage there. The victim’s statement was presented, and it was noted that the co‑accused Gautam Kumar had already been granted bail. The petitioner had been in judicial custody since 11 September 2025. After hearing both sides, the court found the circumstances sufficient to justify bail and ordered the petitioner’s release on a bail bond of Rs. 10,000 with two sureties. The order effectively disposes of the bail petition.
