Holding

Bail was granted to the petitioner subject to a bond of Rs. 10,000 and two sureties.

Summary

The petitioner, Golu Kumar, was arrested in connection with a robbery under Section 392 of the Indian Penal Code, where three armed miscreants allegedly snatched cash and documents. The petitioner’s name emerged during investigation, but no incriminating material was found on him and he has not been presented before a magistrate. He has been in custody since 14 October 2025 and a chargesheet has been filed. The petitioner’s counsel sought bail, arguing lack of evidence and prolonged detention, while the State opposed the bail. The court, considering the nature of the accusation and the period of custody, ordered his release on bail upon furnishing a bail bond of Rs. 10,000 with two sureties of the same amount.
