Summary

Lalit Kumar filed a petition seeking modification of the order dated 11-12-2025 which required him to surrender and furnish bail‑bond. The petitioner requested an extension of the surrender period, citing reasons detailed in the petition. The Court read the description of the satisfaction portion in paragraph‑7 as S.D.J.M, Dalsinghsarai, Samastipur instead of the Additional Sessions Judge‑VIII, Samastipur. It granted the petitioner an additional eight weeks from the date of the order to surrender and to furnish a bail‑bond, subject to a deposit of Rs.5,000 with the District Legal Services Authority. The deposited amount may be utilized by the civil court for purchase of furniture and beautification of the court premises. Accordingly, the modification petition was allowed.
