The application for anticipatory bail is allowed.

Summary

Roushan Kumar applied for anticipatory bail fearing arrest in a criminal case (PS Kumarkhand Case No.141 of 2024) that alleged offences under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including assault and other violent crimes. The petitioner asserted his innocence, clean antecedent and sought relief, while the State opposed the bail. The court examined the facts, the seriousness of the charges and the petitioner’s claim of innocence. Considering the circumstances, the court allowed the anticipatory bail application, directing the petitioner to furnish bail bonds of Rs.10,000 with two sureties and comply with conditions under Section 482(2) of the BNSS. The order was pronounced by Justice Sandeep Kumar of the Patna High Court.
