Decided

DISMISSED

Holding

The court denied regular bail to the petitioner.

Summary

Prince Kumar applied for regular bail in a case registered under Sections 307 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act. The victim identified the petitioner as one of the assailants in a shooting incident, and the petitioner has been in custody since 25 July 2025 with fifteen prior criminal convictions. The court noted that the allegations are serious and that prima facie material exists linking the petitioner to the offence. Considering the gravity of the charges and the petitioner’s extensive criminal antecedents, the court was not inclined to grant bail. Consequently, the application for regular bail was rejected, with the court emphasizing that its observations are limited to the bail application and do not prejudice the trial.
