Anticipatory bail was granted to the petitioner subject to bond, sureties and conditions under Section 482(2) of the BNSS.
Summary
The petitioner, Soni Kumari, was accused in Patliputra Police Station Case No. 383 of 2018 of manufacturing a forged appointment letter, invoking IPC sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 379 and 34. She feared arrest and applied for anticipatory bail. The State opposed the bail, emphasizing the seriousness of the forgery offences. The Court, after hearing both sides, noted the gravity of the allegations but considered the petitioner’s young age (27) and granted anticipatory bail with a bond of Rs.10,000 and two sureties, subject to conditions under Section 482(2) of the BNSS and cooperation with the investigation. The order expressly states it is not a precedent for co‑accused.
