The court allowed the modification, granting an eight‑week extension of the surrender period subject to a Rs. 5,000 deposit.

Summary

Surendra Singh filed a petition seeking modification of the order dated 14‑10‑2025 in Criminal Miscellaneous No. 71955 of 2025, requesting an extension of the period within which he must surrender and furnish a bail‑bond. The High Court, after hearing counsel for both parties, granted an additional eight weeks for surrender, conditioned upon a deposit of Rs. 5,000 in the District Legal Services Authority, the receipt of which must be produced with the bail‑bond. The deposited amount may be used by the civil court for furniture and beautification of the court premises. The order dated 14‑10‑2025 was accordingly modified, and the petition for modification was allowed.
