Holding
The Court held that the petitioner is entitled to a four‑week extension for furnishing the bail bonds.
Summary
The petitioner, Rambabu Chaudhary, was directed by the trial court to furnish bail bonds within a stipulated period in connection with PS Case No. 52 of 2024. He filed a modification application seeking an extension of the time allowed for furnishing the bail bonds, citing reasons detailed in his application. The respondent State and a police officer opposed the request. The High Court examined the merits of the petitioner's reasons and the procedural propriety of granting an extension. Finding the petitioner's explanation satisfactory and seeing no prejudice to the State, the Court allowed the modification. Consequently, the deadline for furnishing the bail bonds was extended by four weeks from the date of the order.
