The court modified the order, granting an additional eight weeks for surrender subject to deposit of Rs 10,000 and furnishing the bail‑bond receipt.

Summary

The petitioner, Vrakman Prasad, filed a petition seeking modification of an earlier order dated 28-10-2024 that required him to surrender and furnish a bail bond. He argued that he had complied belatedly and had deposited Rs.10,000 with Mahavir Cancer Sansthan on 07-01-2026. The court considered the petition and, noting the deposit and circumstances, granted an additional eight weeks for surrender, conditioned on the deposit of Rs.10,000 in the District Legal Services Authority and furnishing the receipt with the bail bond. The deposited amount may be used by the civil court for furniture and beautification of its premises. Consequently, the modification petition was allowed.
