Krishna Kumar SinghversusThe Vice Chancellor,

Decided
Disposal
DISPOSED

Holding

The writ application is infructuous and therefore dismissed.

Summary

Krishna Kumar Singh was appointed as Secretary of the Governing Body of Ishwar Dayal Bhagat Prasad Singh College for a fixed term of three years commencing on 20 April 2023. The term expired on 20 April 2026, after which he filed a writ petition challenging his removal. Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the writ had become infructuous because the appointment period had already lapsed. The court examined the claim and agreed that no relief could be granted since the statutory period had ended. Consequently, the writ application was held to be infructuous and was disposed of without further order.
