Summary

The Sariswa Primary Agriculture Credit Cooperative Society filed a writ petition seeking cancellation of a 2018-19 land settlement (sairat) in Sariswa Bazar, the quashing of a related administrative letter, and an order directing the authorities to settle the land in its favour. The petitioner’s counsel later moved to withdraw the petition, stating it had become infructuous. The court granted permission for withdrawal.
