The petition was withdrawn and therefore dismissed without a substantive ruling on the merits.

Summary

Vinod Thakur, the new proprietor of Laxmi Timber, filed a writ petition seeking to set aside a letter dated 12 July 2025 issued by the Licensing Officer, which directed the uprooting of Saw Mill licence No. 17/95 of M/s Laxmi Timber and its relocation to another place. The petitioner claimed the saw‑mill had been sold to him and that the licence should be transferred to his name under the Bihar Wood based Industries Act, 2025. He argued that the direction to uproot the mill was illegal and that the licensing officer should restrain the other respondents from carrying out the uprooting until the transfer decision was made. The petition was later withdrawn by the petitioner’s counsel. Consequently, the Court disposed of the writ petition as withdrawn without addressing the merits.
