The petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

Summary

The petitioners, Bigan Kumar and Ram Lakhan Choudhry, who belong to SC/ST categories and are landless, filed a writ application seeking a direction to the respondents (various officials of the Bihar Government) to settle a plot of government land they have been occupying for about 50 years as a home. They relied on a circular issued by the Bihar Government concerning land settlement for disadvantaged groups. The petition also included a request for the withdrawal of the petition. The learned counsel for the petitioners subsequently prayed for the withdrawal of the entire application. The Hon'ble Justice Rajiv Roy dismissed the petition on the ground that it had been withdrawn by the petitioners.
